Choosing and preparing a healthy balanced diet for the whole family isn't easy. But it's important! Hillsborough County Extension can help. We provide classes and materials to help consumers choose and prepare diets that manage or prevent diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, and weight problems. We also offer information that can help make sense of food labels and allow families enjoy healthy eating on a busy schedule. Some publications and classes are available in Spanish. We do need advanced notice for classes in Spanish.
Our goal is to help consumers stay in good condition and provide a healthy lifestyle for themselves and their families.
Hillsborough County residents may request educational programs for their organizations, places
of work or churches on a variety of topics. Contact Mary Keith at
. We also offer professional
training for Child Care Providers on nutrition and menu planning in a child care setting, and teaches the
ServSafe professional certification class for food service managers.
